We’re Rhys and Shannon, two free-spirited planners who know how to start over. Having sold everything and relocated throughout the U.S. and abroad, we know a thing or two about embracing change and starting fresh. Between the two of us, we’ve moved approximately 64 times, most recently to Valencia, Spain.

With a combined 20+ years of experience in real estate and professional organizing, we also know a thing or two about buying, selling, and decluttering homes. These careers allowed us to hone and perfect our project and life management skills by working with hundreds of clients to help them embrace change and move into the next chapter of their lives.

Having experienced everything it takes to move to another country and the tremendous rewards a move abroad can bring, we wanted to help other folks get to where we are. So we created UpRoot with Ease, a relocation consulting service helping clients achieve their dreams of living and/or buying property abroad. UpRoot with Ease acts as a relocation guide, advisor, and accountability partner. We help clients progress from “someday I’ll live in another country” to “I’m so happy I moved abroad” as seamlessly as possible and without overwhelm.

Combining practical planning with emotional guidance, we support clients through the entire journey, from choosing the right country and navigating visa options, to deciding what to keep, sell, or downsize (including a personal home), from understanding housing markets to building community on the other side. Along the way, we provide accountability, steady support, and a calm, experienced sounding board.

Together for 24 years, we’ve navigated the ups and downs of life with smiles on our faces and gratitude in our hearts, while also fulfilling lifelong dreams like moving to Europe and being featured on HGTV’s House Hunters International.
